They received materials in four installments \u2013 before, during, and after the conference \u2013 to add to the binders: commissioned papers, background readings, conference proceedings, as well as letters and reports received from participants afterward. Complete notebooks contained almost 500 pages. A few compiled copies still exist. From time to time I hear of people who still have theirs. For instance, recently I learned from a former executive director of Artist Trust that a copy still sits on its shelves.
