Special three-ring binders were provided to all participants in the Orcas conference. They received materials in four installments – before, during, and after the conference – to add to the binders: commissioned papers, background readings, conference proceedings, as well as letters and reports received from participants afterward. Complete notebooks contained almost 500 pages. A few compiled copies still exist. From time to time I hear of people who still have theirs.
